Dubai as a centre for diamonds?

Dubai seems to have replaced South Africa as the interesting place to go for diamond shopping (and lets face it, Antwerp is a horrible place!!!).  We know that it is developing a kind of Arab shopping wonderland with quite nice tax breaks and a developing jewellery industry but its just the fact of spending so much money so far from home.  There is literally nothing that you could do if you got back and found that the diamond was not what you expected.  The fact of the matter is, with companies like ours around you do not need to go to these extremes to find diamond jewellery at the right price.  On the contrary, you should be able to get better prices either from Diamond.ie or through our New York service.
